A Lambo on Diet

I stumbled upon this picture and found it really gorgeous and matches the colour tone of this space.

A year isn't long for a time duration
it ain't short either, considering our typical life expectancy
what matters, is how you spent and remembered it

The Arena

Once again, I was drawn towards the above mentioned TV program by mere coincidence.

The earlier rounds was a whole load of mess, made up of stage frightened armatures who tried to squeeze a whole load of information within their time frame using fake ang moh accents. Its like casting many many small hooks into the ocean hoping for a big catch.

This episode, I thought was much better as I could finally decipher the majority of what they're saying. However, the topic itself - Are our youths Politically Apathetic, as can be seen in the vote, hugely favours the winners of the day. Credits must also be given the petite boy who was witty in speech and able rebut the hard fact that stating some facts and figures along doesn't justify the entire young population's stand.

Matter of the fact is, the younger generation is brought up in such a safe and stable environment under the same governance that they did not feel a need to be in the know, or to even fight for a change. Not to mention their continuous big victories and walkovers at past elections, such that the results could've already been anticipated.

Realized its been a while since I last posted somethin worth "enlightening" , or at least somethin worth your precious time. On that note, my apologies for browsing over to my webbie just to find that its not been updated for the past 96 hours.

You know my stand - If it ain't somethin new, it ain't worth blogging.
Which is not to say my activities over the last 4 days were repetitive.. though its still somewhere along the same context. Or it could just be a simple case of laziness, probably.

Anywayz, if you were expecting me to brag bout my new toy
- the Nokia E65

then I'm sorry to disappoint. Simply cos the phone was bit of a let down in terms of web browsing, and most of all.. IT ISN'T COOL.
Just take my advice, DON'T BUY IT. okay ?
If it wern't for the non availablity of stock, I wouldve purchased this

In fact, I liked my other impromptu purchase of the day more..
The Adidas sleeveless tee (black) - to add a tint of style to my gym attire. Ooh, not forgetting Quek , who was convinced to make a similar purchase after I modeled in it.

Tired , Fatigue, Exhausted

the sooner you hope it arrives,
the slower time passes you by.
the least you'd wish to think about
the more often it haunts you

.. on second thoughts, it ain't all that BAD la.
I've finally aquired an UNDERSTUDY
I also met this new chap in camp who happens to be a JOSEPHIAN too, who's in the same frequency for coffee talks and just as approachable as your sincerely

a flash back to the past week..on Valentines Day

I was quite honoured to have the opportunity to stand in for CSM for a meeting which involves all the staff from various branches and company. My job was simply to take down notes of relevance to my HQ Coy side.

Stepping the room as the smallest ranked fry, I decided to seek refuge and shelter from arrows - sitting myself sandwiched between the 2 "lao jiao" warrant officers which I often work with. ..and boy was it effective. Majority of the issues brought up by the commander on safety and maintenence was assisted by their brilliant replies which I never thought had existed, or practised before.

..and the end of the day, my notes contained less than 3 sentences. Which was later chucked somewhere.

EMOtional and physical well being goes hand in hand
when one's mind stressed and doesn't sleep well,
makes the body prone to diseases
..like the epidemic food poisoning which claimed me as victim amongst the 50+ others in camp.

I gotta get stronger

friendster update

I finally did an update of profile on friendster yesterday
and boy as I surprised how much things have changed along the way

To begin, the information was too Detailed and Messy, not to mention OUTDATED
Felt I needn't reveal so much of myself in there, strangers especially
Where then would there be fun if you've known all of me, right ?

Then there was the Hobbies and Interests..
Much has changed since
I found some passion in photography.. and dropped the computer geekiness in me.
I ditched my camp Unit's name cos can't feel part of it anymore

and lastly, not to mention a humble attempt to "commercialise" this blog.
..just felt I'd prefer more audience :)

I'm stuck in a dilemma..

to go for Style ?

or Substance ?

or something cheap but Exquisite..

Saturday, February 10, 2007

Met up Quekie for a dinner at Food Republic yesterday ,
after my OT gym session
..no points got guessing where the extra time had gone into

Followed by a trip down to Liat ..
got ourselves some pajamas from Zara
and my dose of caffeine at Starbucks
..then finally some jalan jalan around Borders to catch some glimpses of those "Smart Looking Babes" as how Quek likes to term them.

Strolling around town can come pretty useful especially when you have somethin in mind to get without having to tinker what exactly to buy.. simply cos there so many stuff u see along the way, giving room for lotsa options.

It also good to see my friends mentality hasn't changed through these years - like how he insisted on taking the pedestrian from Wheelock to Lido instead of the underpass cos ..

"you needa take extra escalator and walk a small loop to reach the underpass"

there you have it .. a famous quote adapted from Quek's Sutra of Minimum Effort

and a special impromptu performance by 2 bellydancers of the Dance Floor
..then there was this touchy song..

update

never thought I'd be doing this, but over the past week or so..
I'm starting to count down to my days to ORD !?!

Is it just a matter of the "buildup of anticipation as the day draws nearer"
or
I'm starting to dread what I do.
There seems to be a revolution going on in camp - how things are done in the past r scrapped.

This new CSM is a friendly chap, and he takes care of me (so far)
and everyone else seem to like him too

but not for my case..

Ever bought new shoes whilst convincing yourself this pair is newer and better looking than the old one.. but then after trying it on, you'd still prefer that old pair even though its tattered and worn ..?

..thats niche for you

Lately I've got a problem fitting most of my pants without the use of belts.
Nothing to be proud of there, cos after multiple scrutiny through the mirror.. I reckon there must have been a deflation in my Butt !! To make matters worse, it wasn't perky in the first place..

If such inventions like WonderBra existed, why isn't there any Wonder-Underwear ?

..or Wonderwear for short

..pardon my horrendous drawing

...pissing
Attracted the wrong kind -___-"

the party

I see now why QUEKie loves attending birthday parties so often..

The entire house was transformed into a lounge, actually its not like it wasn't any far off prior to the PARTaaY. There were balloons and ribbons, cakes and chocolate fondue, Cocktails and Shooters , Guest DJ grooving to chillout pieces followed by a Guitarist duo who plays at Timber

There must have been a close to 100 colourful guests, and of course the exceptions who have a limited wardrobe supply .. and Thats ME. I'm supposed to appear in "not less than 7 colours" but I reckon I only achieved a little more than half of that ... (inclusive of the color on my undies). The guests r mostly connected through ACJC and CHURCH so it was a bit tough gettin into their conversations, but I still did meet a few new faces nonetheless

Only problem of the day, I had difficulty distinguishing which was prettier - the Girls or the black Porsche Carrera S sitting proudly at the porch.

Thanks to my wisdom extraction, I was on MC the entire of last week.
This week I was plagued by what I believe, a mysterious throat infection - no sneezing, no cough, just swollen throat coupled with huge fluctuations in body temperature.

All in all, my existence in camp was capped at a mere day and half, out of the past 10 working days. Not inclusive of sunday's guard duty.
Truth be told, now that I have taken so many MCs.. I'm starting to get sick of rotting home. Boredom doesn't heal a sick patient, not for me at least.

And its kinda pissing that people in the army always tend to associate MC with "Chao Geng". That was the comment I get at least , when I told my camp mates I'm going home.. or maybe just an opportunity to voice off their jealousy and poke some fun, don't know. Another buncha fellas who saw me walked past with a bag in hand also asked about my condition :

"39 degs fever man"

"Wha.. but you walk past us still got wind leh"

Speaking of which, its been very windy nowadays.
Hah, what the hell.. blame global warming
