random words

Its been such a long while since I last blog. I'd almost forgotten its existence.

Its been quite a night catching up with the guys last night. The usual topics about cars and girls aside, we chatted about current affairs, finding jobs, casino gambling and even singapore politics. Which kind of prompted me to notice this stark contrast on the things I do with my friends in NUS.

Perhaps its the general difference in age and maturity that my NUS friends' activities and chat topics seem to revolve around gossips: who's going out with who, who's doing what behind someone's back, who's pissing who off. And not to mention the infinite no of times I had to face the camera, especially at outings and birthday parties.

Well, I'm not here to decide which group is more favorable. In fact, each has its pros an cons. Speaking of the current economy and finding jobs may be depressing at times but at least it keeps my age at check, to remind myself that I'm not getting any younger and its about damn time I consider my future. Gossiping with friends about relationships and fashion trends keeps my mind away from the books and keeps my in touch with my youth.

So I guess the bottom line is, its never good to put yourself in one box. Sometimes it pays to hang out with different people and do different things, even if you may seem relectuant at first. If you don't try you'll never know.
