One of the perks to living on an island of multi religions is the vast exposures to their rich cultures and traditions.

However, as the society advance with the times, towards accommodating a population of 6M.. there is no place no more to hold certain traditions which may compromise the peace and serenity of others.

I'll just put this straight. If you must continue to hold weddings (read: Noisy) in the heart of our living community, pls spare a thought for others and go back to your kampungs.

Here are some questions for you. I gonna phrase it in plain simple english for ya:

1)What is a ritual?
2)How does the act of performing a ritual affect one's emotions?
3)What does a ritual mean to you?
4)What is the 'force' behind the ritual? aka what drove them to do this?
5)Does your own culture influence what you see in other pple's rituals?
6)Why wedding parade? Why national day parade?
7)Why the drums? so noisy!
8)What does marriage mean to you?
9)Defination of marriage?
10)If you were one of them, would you like this form of wedding?

All the best in your quest of "sophistication"!

Try reasoning that on with our gov who banned firecrackers for CNY.
Perhaps they would be more sympathetic after the 25% pay rise..
